Kouncel, the fast-growing legal edtech platform, has successfully raised a strategic investment from Alexandre Boules through his investment firm, IBF & Company. the fund will be directed toward expanding Kouncel’s footprint into the GCC region and enriching its content offering to support legal professionals across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Strategic Expansion, Regional Focus
This new capital from Alexandre Boules and IBF will enable Kouncel to:
• Expanding in (GCC) countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.
• Develop localized courses tailored to GCC regulations and legal practice.
• Partner with regional law firms and institutions to enhance content relevance and certification value.
• Invest in platform features such as AI-powered course recommendations, mobile-first UX, and interactive case simulations.
The transaction was advised by Mazghouny & Co., a Cairo-based law firm known for its sharp focus on transactions and regulatory advisory. The deal team was led by Donia Mazghouny, Managing Partner, with key contributions from Khadiga Abou-Zeid (Senior Associate), Yehia Zakaria (Associate), and Ahmed Heiba (Associate).
